Organization – Senior Living Master + Bathroom Closets

The goal for this project was to make things easier for a visually impaired, but active 93 yr old. Clear containers, large labels, category dividers, and colorizing were some tools and systems used to ensure her items were easier to find!

There is a great set of shelves in the back that we utilized as an accessory center. Handbags were divided into bins by neutral, color, dark, and evening with large labels. Scarves were also divided into bins by size and labeled. Easy to find all the necessary elements to complete her outfit.

The upper shelves were messy and tough to see what you needed. This client will now have an easy time communicating what to pull down and where to find. Helpers will be able to easily locate what she needs with these clear bins with large labels.

To ensure this client could find the right category of item, we used large labeled folders to “file” her wardrobe. With tabs popping up between categories like pants and skirts, she can confidentially find whatever she’s looking for, and helpers can put things back in the right place!

The Bathroom Closets:

It was very difficult for this client to utilize the two bathroom closets. They doubled as storage closets, so not only holding bathroom items, but sheets and decor items as well. Clear bins for visibility and large labels were utilized to create division and clarity!
